Our Story, Our Values

Incorporated in California in April 1986, Group Delta has provided geotechnical and environmental engineering, instrumentation, materials testing and inspection, and construction support services for more than 30 years.

Group Delta is staffed by nearly 100 civil and geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers and scientists, geologists, laboratory and field technicians, deputy grading and construction inspectors, CAD designers and support staff. Group Delta maintains offices in the cities of Irvine, Torrance, Anaheim, San Diego, and Ontario as well as accredited laboratories in San Diego and Anaheim.

Our firm has served clients in both the public and private sectors throughout its history and has developed expertise in various types of projects.

  • Glenn A. Burks, Ph.D., PE

    PRINCIPAL, DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

    Glenn A. Burks is the Founding Partner of the Environmental Division at Group Delta Consultants. He is nationally recognized for his work in Green Remediation and served as one of the principle authors of the ASTM Standard Guide to Greener Cleanups (ASTM E2893-13). Dr. Burks has over 27 years of diverse environmental engineering consulting experience, with an emphasis on technical and project management for site investigations, remediation, and hazardous materials handling projects. Dr. Burks has managed environmental components of large-scale construction projects and served as the technical lead on large-scale soil and groundwater remediation projects located at airports, regional groundwater extraction systems, constructed wetlands, industrial facilities, rail yards and educational facilities.

  • Michael Cassidy, PG, CHG

    PFAS PRACTICE LEADER

    Mr. Cassidy is the Principal Geologist for the Environmental Division at Group Delta Consultants, and the PFAS Practice Leader. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University. He is a registered professional in the states of California, Arizona, Idaho, and Washington. Mr. Cassidy is a member of the PFAS Working Group of the American Association of Airport Executives. He has over 32 years of environmental consulting experience, acting as the managing registered professional in responsible charge on many major projects.
